Software QA & Team Support

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Professional Software QA & Team Support. Please read the position details below carefully, as only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further assessment of fit.

The Gist

The position has been created to take care of the comprehensive Quality Assurance activities for our software delivery processes. Other duties, including team support as required, will be based on the successful applicant's skills and attributes.​

Your Position

  • You will be working primarily with the GBS Development and Support teams to:
    • report bugs, and help the teams to prioritize based on users affected
    • create, run, and maintain automated and manual test cases for new and existing features and reports
    • implement new and exciting ways to test and break things, using all tools at your disposal - and suggesting new ones
    • suggest and report improvements to current user interface, including new workflows based on user experience reports
    • contribute to the continual improvement of development, testing, and support processes 
  • You'll also assist the Customer Support team with customer technical support, as required.

Who You Are

  • You have AMAZING critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills, with a proven track record of problem solving in difficult situations, within multiple environments.
  • You have extensive experience in testing/quality assurance on multiple platforms: mobile, web browsers, server.
  • You have a high standard for what excellent software looks like, and are prepared to hold us to that standard.
  • You have extensive experience in developing and running SQL queries and checking database actions against expected behaviour and accuracy.
  • You can discuss at length your experiences in implementing different testing techniques, including but perhaps not limited to: Component/Unit Testing, Integration testing, System testing, Acceptance testing, Functional testing, Non-functional testing, Structural testing, Re-testing and regression testing.
  • You have a proven history of looking at things from various perspectives, to come up with the best solutions for all parties.
  • You are analytical, pay close attention to detail, and like to show off your strong communication skills.
  • You are proficient (advanced) in all Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • You are a proven self-starter, with a strong work ethic and proven capacity to self-teach & learn.
  • You will work from your home office, and must have the necessary qualities to work within a remote team.
  • If you have a reliable personal computer, it is considered an asset for this position.
  • You absolutely must have a fast and reliable internet connection.
  • You may join the team as a full-time contract or employment position.
  • You will receive training of CompTracker software and internal processes / policies if selected as the successful candidate.
